Welcome, welcome to all of you amazing card makers out there!
We are SO excited to welcome you to our very first ever moth of
challenges here at House of Cards! This challenge idea was the brain
child of co-owner Mynnette--she wanted to have a reason to practice
different card making styles and so the purpose of this challenge is to
encourage YOU to branch out and try different card making styles along with her
and the fabulous DT we've got here! We hope that you will learn a lot and
that you will participate with us each week here and practice your card making
talents. :)
Here is how our challenge blog works--we will have a monthly color
palette or sketch and then each week we'd like to see a different card making
style using those parameters. If there is a 5th Monday in the month, we
will have a photo inspiration and you can create using any card making style
you'd like! We'll also have a super fun photo inspiration challenge/blog
hop that will happen at the beginning of December. If at that point you
feel so inclined, we'd love to have you enter our DT call that will be running
at the same time!
Now, onto our actual challenge! This month we will be
working with a fun and fresh color palette. Please choose at least 3 of
these colors to create with!
Here's
the color palette~
And this
week we'd like to see
CLEAN & SIMPLE CARDS.
Here's
our CAS DT with some samples~
Please follow our HOUSE RULES when you participate in our challenges to make things fair for all
participants and to help the DT out when commenting, etc. Here they are:
- You must follow the weekly card style and theme in the project that you choose to link up.
- You may join in other challenges other than ours, but please keep it to a maximum of 10 (ours and 9 more).
- You must link up with the POST address, not your entire blog address.
- Please link back to our challenge in your entry post so that others know where to come to play along!
- Do not expect a comment if you have Word Verification turned on. We do our best to comment, but it takes quite a bit of time to figure out what in the world you're supposed to type when Word Verification is used. Please opt for comment moderation as a most wonderful alternative!
- HAVE FUN!
